Greetings CTV.ca readers! This is your ever reliable web producer checking in from bright and sunny Los Angeles.

Follow my updates on Twitter (I'm @CTV_Tyrone)!

I'm currently at an event is being held in Beverly Hills at the swanky and uber-hip SLS Hotel, and over the course of the next couple days, I’ll be talking to the stars and producers from shows including “Human Target,” “Vampire Diaries,” “V,” “Fringe,” “Gossip Girl,” “The Mentalist,” “The Middle,” “The New Adventures of Old Christine” and many more.

I arrived in Los Angeles Friday afternoon, landing at LAX on the same flight as my fellow Canadians Bill Brioux (http://tvfeedsmyfamily.blogspot.com/) and Bill Harris (Toronto Sun). I even had a short chance to check out some of the more tourist-y destinations... seeing as it was my first time in La-La Land, I just had to beeline for Hollywood Boulevard and snap a few pictures of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and all the famous footprints in concrete.

However, I was exhausted after a long stroll down Sunset Boulevard (spotting the “Hollywood” sign in the hills for the first time sent chills up my spine!) and once I managed to wrangle myself a cab, tucked in for an early evening back at the hotel. (The hotel, by the way, has a moose sculpture with a lamp for a head in the lobby. One of the many odds sights scattered around the building.)

My day began with Dylan McDermott (previously seen on CTV on “Big Shots”) talking about his new series, “Dark Blue,” followed by appearances by “The Closer” star Kyra Sedgwick, “Southland” stars Ben McKenzie, Michael Cudlitz and Regina King, “New Adventures of Old Christine” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, “The Middle” stars Neil Flynn, Charlie McDermott, Eden Sher and Atticus Shaffer. Both “Old Christine” and “The Middle” can be seen on /A\ in Canada.

I also had a chance to ask “Fringe” executive producers Bryan Burk and J.H. Wyman about the coincidences between “Lost,” “Star Trek,” and their use of parallel dimensions, and chat with “Human Target” executive producer Jonathan E. Steinberg about shooting in Vancouver and finding out the story behind Danny Glover’s cameo in the show’s first episode.

The highlight of the day came when I met “Human Target” stars Chi McBride and Mark Valley. Chi, hands down, was the best-dressed star of the day, wearing a snazzy three piece suit, cuff-links and brown polka dot pocket square. And from the time he stepped foot into the room, he had the room howling with laughter.

Later, when Mark began talking about his first stage experience in a musical, Chi couldn’t help himself and did his best “musical” impression, saying “I’m late. I’m late,” followed by a bit of dramatic singing “I’m laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate.”

Later, after I learned that Mark’s Japanese accent (seen in a previous episode) was terrible, Chi joked that the last thing anyone will ever seen on “Human Target” is a Japanese musical version of the show.

And with that, the day was finished, and tomorrow I’ll begin the second round of interviews, starting early with a satellite video conference with the stars of “Vampire Diaries” from Atlanta, as well as the stars of “V”!

(Watch the first four episodes of V online at CTV now, for a limited time!)

Monday I'll be heading out to the Warner Brothers lot for a visit to the sets of “The Big Bang Theory” and “The Mentalist,” so stay tuned for those updates as well. Until then, keep watching!

(Full episodes of “The Mentalist” are available on CTV.ca, as well as full episodes of “The Big Bang Theory”)
