Johnny Galecki and Nina Dobrev are coming to the MuchMusic Video Awards
Take a bite out of that science textbook folks, because some of TV’s biggest stars are coming to town for one of Canada’s biggest nights in music!
“Big Bang Theory” star Johnny Galecki and Canadian “Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev will be heading to Toronto for the biggest bash in Canada, the MuchMusic Video Awards, which goes down on Sunday, June 19 on -- where else -- MuchMusic.
The show will air at 9pm ET live on Much and MuchHD in Canada, as well as FUSE in the U.S. An MMVAs red carpet special will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT
There’s no award show like the MMVAs anywhere on the planet… it can best be described as a massive multi-stage block party crammed with lasers and screaming fans and super hot celebs crammed into a tight space on Toronto’s Queen Street West.
Performers set to makes some noise at the event include Down with Webster, Far East Movement featuring Dev, Fefe Dobson, Simple Plan, Avril Lavigne, The Black Keys, Bruno Mars, City and Colour and Lady Gaga.
Galecki and Dobrev are only the latest stars announced to attend the MMVAs, and they’ll join Dobrev’s rumoured boyfriend (and “Vampire Diaries” co-star) Ian Somerhalder, Shay Mitchell (“Pretty Little Liars”), Nikki Reed (“Twilight”), Shawn Desman, Classified, LMFAO, Marianas Trench, Blake McGrath (“So You Think You Can Dance Canada”), Cody Simpson and These Kids Wear Crowns.
The show will be co-hosted by Selena Gomez.
Wristbands for the 2011 MMVAs will be given away Friday, June 10 on NEW.MUSIC.LIVE at MuchMusic headquarters in Toronto. Check out Much, muchmusic.com or follow @muchmusic on Twitter for more details.
Galecki is best known as Leonard Hofstadter on “Big Bang Theory,” and is one of the show’s original cast members. Before Dobrev hit it big on “The Vampire Diaries,” she was one of CTV.ca’s favourite cast members on the drama “Degrassi: The Next Generation.”
