When judge Jean Marc Genereux revealed the exciting news that Lindsay Leuschner made the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Season 4 Top 22, Lindsay says “I’m not a crier, but I instantly lost it.”

Beginning her dance career at the early age of two, Lindsay trained in ballet for eight years at the C.B. Dance Academy in Richmond Hill. She then moved on to Elite Dancerworx in Toronto, where she continued to train in Vaganova Russian Ballet. Though trained primarily in contemporary and ballet, Lindsay is also practiced in pointe, hip-hop, lyrical, partnering, jazz, musical theatre, tap and acrobatics.

Lindsay has worked with a number of prominent choreographers including Mandy Moore, Kenny Wormald, Misha Gabriel, Kim Mcswain and Teddy Forance, at JUMP Nationals in New York City.

Feeling the stress level through the competition, Lindsay says it is challenging to keep her confidence level high and to control her nerves. To calm down and bring her luck, Lindsay kisses a gold ring that was passed down by her mother and grandmother.

When Lindsay’s not in the dance studio, you might find her in the great outdoors at her cottage. Her favourite activities at the cottage include boating, hiking, water skiing, wake-boarding, and fishing with her dad.

This young dancer says she is not afraid to perform any particular style of dance, and viewers can always expect to see “nothing but the best,” said Lindsay. “I will always stay positive and attack each performance with confidence. I was born to be on stage and promise to give it my all.”
