About Zuleikha Robinson

Born in London, Zuleikha Robinson's first name means "beautiful one." At 15 she developed a penchant for acting that eventually led her to Los Angeles, where she studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Robinson has played a wide range of roles and ethnicities including Indian, Jewish, Latina and European. As an actress, she is able to transform herself psychologically, emotionally and physically to completely immerse herself into her characters.

Robinson's first feature was a supporting role in Mike Figgis' "Timecode." Her first lead role brought her to Morocco, starring opposite Viggo Mortensen and Omar Sharif in "Hidalgo." She next traveled to London, Venice and Luxembourg to star as Al Pacino's daughter in Michael Radford's film version of Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice," alongside Jeremy Irons and Joseph Fiennes. She also starred opposite Kal Penn in "The Namesake," based on the bestselling novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jhumpa Lahiri for Academy Award nominated director Mira Nair.

Robinson was a series regular in Chris Carter's "The X-Files" spin-off, "The Lone Gunmen." Her other television credits include HBO's Golden Globe nominated series "Rome," and the television drama "New Amsterdam."
