About Nestor Carbonell
Nestor Carbonell was born in New York City and raised in numerous locations, including Mexico, Venezuela, Florida, Connecticut, the Bahamas and London. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in English. It was during his time at Harvard that a first-year drama course led to his interest in performing.
Carbonell's role in "Lost," as well as his turn as Mayor Anthony Garcia in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight," has shown his versatility and range as an actor and showcased the complexity he has exhibited in a variety of roles.
On the big screen, his recent credits include "Smokin' Aces," Andy Garcia's "The Lost City," "The Laramie Project" and "Jack the Dog." On television he starred in the series "Cane," "The Tick" and "Suddenly Susan," for which he earned two ALMA Awards for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series. He also guest starred on "House," "Scrubs" and "Monk."
Carbonell currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Shannon Kenny, and their two sons, Rafael and Marco.
