About Jeff Fahey

From an early age, Jeff Fahey has been a seeker of knowledge and new experiences through his travels around the world. He proved his adaptability and determination to succeed when he began to study acting at the Gratowski experimental theatre and the Studio Arena in Buffalo, New York.

While acting in experimental theatre, Fahey was also introduced to the world of dance, where he undertook the study of classical dance, modern dance and ballet with the likes of the Martha Graham School, The Alvin Alley School and the Joffrey Ballet.

At the Joffrey, he was taken under the wing of legendary choreographer Agnes De Mille. The Joffrey Ballet led to stage roles, beginning with Broadway productions of "Brigadoon," "Oklahoma" and "West Side Story."

Upon returning to New York, Fahey starred as Gary Corelli in the popular daytime soap opera, "One Life to Live."

He received his feature film break when he was offered the role of Tyree in Lawrence Kasdan's "Silverado," opposite Kevin Costner, Brian Dennehey, Kevin Klein and Danny Glover. His other credits include "White Hunter Black Heart," directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, "The Lawnmower Man," opposite Pierce Brosnan, re-teaming with director Lawrence Kasdan and Kevin Costner for "Wyatt Earp," which also starred Gene Hackman and Dennis Quaid, and Robert Rodriguez's "Grindhouse" and "Planet Terror."

Fahey also brought his passion for film to the other side of the camera as a producer on "Close Call," "Choosing Matthias," "Extramarital," "The Underground" and "The Sweeper."

He followed his many varied film roles with a hugely successful run on the stage in London in the production of "Orphans," opposite Albert Finney and Kevin Anderson. On television he starred in the series "The Marshal," produced by close friend and acting colleague Don Johnson. He also guest starred on such series as "Nash Bridges," "Arli$$," "Crossing Jordan," "Cold Case" and "CSI: Miami."

Fahey has been involved in world causes for a number of years with a focus on issues in conflict and post conflict regions.

He commuted back and forth from Afghanistan to Hawaii last season while shooting "Lost." Upon returning from multiple trips to the Western Sahara, he completed production on the film "Machete," opposite Robert De Niro.
