Vancouver native Emily Perkins’ resume is impressive and extensive. Perkins began her professional acting career at the age of 10 with a role in 1989's Small Sacrifices. The following year, she was recognized with the YTV National Youth Achievement award in acting and landed key roles on the television series MOM P.I. and the films Anything to Survive and It.Her lead performance in the Canadian horror cult-hit Ginger Snaps has received international critical praise and garnered her the Best Actress award at Spain's International Film Festival. She’s also appeared in blockbuster feature films Insomnia and Prozac Nation.
In television, Perkins has landed roles in critically acclaimed television series such as THE X-FILES, the renowned educational children's program MENTORS, and the comedy/drama DEAD LIKE ME. Her recurring role in the critically acclaimed dramatic series DA VINCI'S INQUEST has earned her a Leo Award for Best Supporting Performance in 2003 and a nomination for Best Guest Performance in 2004.
