Dan Phillips (Fred Ewanuick) is now almost on purpose the Mayor of Wessex. He ran on a whim and was elected by default. Dan’s first term has started and he is unprepared, unqualified and in way over his head! In the second season premiere, to prove that he’s in charge, Dan takes it upon himself to name the new ice rink after a local hockey legend, only to find out it has already been named after a Wessex philanthropist on her deathbed. Meanwhile, Claire is back for good and is starting her own PR company. It’s just too bad that Dan can’t hire her to improve his own PR.
