More than 50 Canadian musicians under the moniker Young Artists For Haiti have come together to record a new rendition of K’Naan’s “Wavin’ Flag” in support of the victims of the earthquake-stricken country. The video is now available for viewing and the song can be purchased wherever digital music is sold. Click here to watch the video online.

Artists who took part in the charity anthem, a joint effort between hip hop artist K’Naan and legendary producer Bob Ezrin, include everyone from Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne and Sam Roberts, to Jacob Hoggard of Hedley and Emily Haines of Metric.

“I'm honoured to have experienced the soulful energies of so many talented individuals who contributed their voices and expertise to ‘Wavin’ Flag,’" says K’Naan, in a prepared release. “The unity and spirit of everyone involved in the recording reminds us that we all share in the responsibility to help. We can’t let the situation in Haiti fall off the public’s agenda.”

All proceeds from the song, which was recorded in Vancouver’s The Warehouse Studio in February, will be donated to Free The Children, War Child Canada and World Vision Canada to aid in their on-the-ground efforts in Haiti.
