In a first for the forensic crime series, one character is set to appear in all three “CSI” carnations in an episodic trilogy.

Starting on Monday, Nov. 9, Dr. Ray Langston, played by Laurence Fishburne, heads to “CSI: Miami” when a severed leg is found in the everglades, and belongs to a missing girl from Las Vegas.

The storyline continues on Wednesday, Nov. 11 on “CSI: New York,” when Langston rushes to the Big Apple and discovers someone he interviewed in Miami was involved in a big rig accident. Shot on location, Det. Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) takes Langston to the streets of New York where they uncover an interstate trucking ring that specializes in human cargo and black market organ harvesting.

The three-part arc wraps on Thursday, Nov. 12 on “CSI,” when Langston’s investigation leads him to a prostitution ring in Las Vegas.

An Oscar-nominated actor, Fishburne took over the lead role of “CSI” last season, taking over for William Petersen, who still remains an executive producer on the series.
