Dominique Reighard has been hard at work on her music career since being eliminated from “America’s Next Top Model,” but she’s not sure she’s going to be releasing “Tooch Ya Booty” as a single anytime soon.

“I think ‘Tooch Ya Booty,’ is just going to be left (where it is). Fans keep asking me though so I don’t know, I may revisit the song,” Dominique tells CTV.ca over the phone with a laugh.

The 27-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, is referring to the song she sang for an “ANTM” challenge that showcased her singing voice. The accompanying music video also showed off her dancing skills and even had the judges and rapper Game, who guest starred on the episode, comparing her to the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncé.

“It’s very flattering . . . I was like, ‘Wow, thank you. I’m soaking all that in.’ But at the end of the day, as I throw my music out there my fans are going to see me as Dominique . . . I think I’m very unique in my own right.”

She has already released a new single called “I’m On Top Of the World” and has another one coming out, which she collaborated on with rapper Diamond.

“If it wasn’t for doing music videos on the show I probably wouldn’t be pursuing music right now. I don’t want to live my life with any regrets, (so) I throw myself into everything I do . . . (the show) has given me opportunities to meet people and do things I never thought I’d be able to do.”

Dominique was eliminated on “ANTM” after the judges felt she was “unmemorable,” both in the most recent photo shoot with Nigel Barker in Greece, and over the course of the entire competition.

“It’s an opinion and one of the things about me that’s very consistent . . . I’ve always taken in the feedback the judges have given me and made it work for me and not against me. My big thing is about evolving and growing and getting better.”

In the photo shoot, Dominique was required to pose with a javelin to emulate an ancient Olympian. Even though the prop was heavy and awkward, she says the shoot was a once in a lifetime experience.

“For me it was difficult but I embraced it. Tyra says if it doesn’t hurt, you’re not doing something right so even though there were some painful moments I know I rocked that photo shoot out.”

Ironically, when Dominique was first on “ANTM” Cycle 10, she also got eliminated after a photo shoot with Nigel Barker.

But Dominique only has praise for the ‘Top Model’ judge.

“I loved working with Nigel. Nigel is an amazing photographer . . .  It was my time to go. I want my fans to focus on how much I’ve improved from Cycle 10; I was the underdog . . .  to be back here on this All-Star cycle, I wanted to be remembered for my sheer talent and my optimistic attitude in life.”

Dominique landed in the Bottom 2 with Angelea, someone she had a heated exchange with earlier in the episode.

The incident occurred during a challenge where the “ANTM” contestants had to judge each other on their walks and their previous photos. Miss J also invited them to say who they thought didn’t deserve to be in the competition.

While Lisa, Laura and Allison said everyone deserved to be there, Dominique chose Angelea. Dominique then said to Angelea she sees herself in her and that her fellow contestant lacks confidence and needs to own it more.

Angela got on the defensive, calling everyone “bitches,” telling them to “kiss her a**,” and stormed out.

“I don’t want to blame it on editing; I think things just got taken out of context. I feel like every single girl in that house deserved to be there. What I said to her was out of concern,” says Dominique.

“I care about Angelea a lot. I love her a lot and I look at her as a little sister almost. I see a lot of myself in her because I’ve grown so much . . . I was giving her feedback out of love.”
