TOLEDO, Ohio – 'American Idol' final-three contestant Crystal Bowersox has received a hero's welcome back to her roots in northwest Ohio.

Thousands lined streets in Toledo for a parade Friday and then got to hear 24-year-old musician perform two songs: a composition of her own and Alanis Morissette's 'Hand in My Pocket.'

Bowersox came on stage shouting 'Holy Toledo!' when she saw the size of the crowd jammed into a downtown square. Even rooftops and a parking garage across the street were packed with fans straining for a glimpse of their idol.

She rode in a convertible during the parade and was mobbed by people handing her photos to sign. One woman gave Bowersox sunglasses for the bright sunshine.

This season's "American Idol" winner will be crowned May 26 on CTV.
